FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
*Corcoran Neighborhood Organization organizes Community Welcome for South
High School Students on the First Day of School*
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – As South High School staff and students arrive on
the first day of school, Monday, August 24, 2015, neighbors, small business
owners, community leaders and elected officials will be lined up to greet
them. The community greeting will take place at the main entrance of South
High (facing E 32nd Street & 20th Ave. by parking lot) with lots of smiles,
high fives and enthusiasm to wish students a great academic year! Board
members of the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization want to share with South
students that “their whole community cares about them and their education.
Each student is important and we expect the best of them and they deserve
the best.” The theme of the event is: “Community, Diversity, Respect and
Excellence”.
