I saw this story in the PiPress this morning:
Police seek to find RNC protest victims, release photos and video
http://www.twincities.com/ci_10915476?IADID=Search-www.twincities.com-www.twincities.com
Does this mean what I think it means? That someone on the public payroll is
spending time on the job slogging through 6000 hours of RNC video from the
streets and scouring the internet just to identify TWO people who might have
been the victim of violence at the hands of the scary anarchists? That our law
enforcement system is spending the taxpayers' money just to try to find the
names of two people so that they can shore up the company line that we were all
in danger from these black-clad radicals? Is this person making any effort to
identify those who were sprayed in the face, pushed around by bicycles, herded
onto a bridge for arrest, or may have simple been caught up in clashes they
were trying to avoid? Or is the person simply trying to shore up the stories
that Sheriff Fletcher and Chief Harrington have already determined to be the
truth?
Seems like a rather dubious exercise.

I asked early on and will now repeat my question: how much is it costing the
city (including city attorneys time) to prosecute those charged during RNC?

Not just the city, the city and the COUNTY. The COUNTY is doing the
felony prosecutions and which will cost significantly more to prosecute!
All the time for those misdemeanor charges which were dropped, that
could have been done by mail...
btw, went to "Return Day" in Georgetown, and Biden was there. The
entire city was cordoned off, had to park on outskirts and take shuttle
busses in. The literal several blocks of the city center where the
event was held was blocked off, we had to go through metal detectors and
search, there was a big fenced off "moat" in front of stage with secret
service standing and observing, talking on their Borg headsets,
patrolling cops in raingear (didn't seem to be "turtle" gear
underneath), cops on bicycles (don't know if they were trained in use of
bicycle for "crowd control") and at least five K-9 "officers" going back
and forth in the moat, and there were visible snipers on the rooftops
around the circle. Secret service in tan raincoats and cops walking
around in the crowd. Media in a pen but they did get a tent for cover.
A state Rep. and his wife were walking along and were suddenly stopped,
asked where they were going, he pointed out further down the street, and
the cop pulled his coat aside and put his hand on his BIG gun and said
"you can't go there" and directed them away. As a woman on stage sings
about "land of the free..."
