Twin Cities, starting in April 2018. *Registration will begin in
mid-February*. Unique as a model for an Urban-based PDC, this 90+ hour
course explores the intersectionality of social and environmental justice
withing our urban ecosystems, and starts with Social Permaculture as the
base of all our work. This is an amazing course, with a focus on
permaculture in urban spaces and as part of a broader social movement.
We tackle the classic 72 hour PDC developed by Bill Mollison and David
Holmgren, but we spend the first weekend exploring power, privilege, and
the transformative tools of permaculture. Only then do we dive into cutting
edge strategies and techniques for creating regenerative gardens, farms and
communities in our cities.
Community partners so far for 2018 include Open Arms Farm and Fruits of the
City. Dan Halsey, of Southwoods Designs and Co-Author of *Integrated Forest
Gardens* is joining us again, along with some amazing new instructors,
including Chanelle Crosby of http://thinkfeelbe.co, Whole System designer
Sean Quinn, and cold climate fruit fancier Kent Scheer, Author of *Core
Knowledge* Apple Tree Care guide.
