Sorry there wasn't any Update last week. I'll try to get back to a weekly
Update schedule.
Coming up this Monday, we will be walking workshop participants through the
process of building their own website, starting from the most basic aspects of
website creation. This is intended to be a workshop for those with very little
(if any) background in the topic, but we will cover a lot of ground. Also, St.
Paul E-Democracy's Outreach Committee has put together a survey about our work
at Rondo. The survey contains an evaluation component, so we are particularly
interested in getting responses from our current and former workshop
participants. The survey can be taken by going to
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=th82mAXVnoRin1t1nb5wkA_3d_3d . Finally,
we will be repeating our spring schedule this summer on Mondays and Wednesdays
in July, so tell your friends and encourage them to come.
---UPCOMING WORKSHOP: BUILDING YOUR OWN WEBSITE---
Our June 16 workshop, Building Your Own Website, will introduce you to the
basics of creating a website, from HTML to content management systems and
hosting. We'll show you what to consider when setting up websites large and
small.
Building Your Own Website
FREE WORKSHOP
Date : Monday, June 16th
Time : 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Location : Rondo Community Outreach Library
461 North Dale
University & Dale, St. Paul
As always, the workshop is free and all are welcome to attend.

Contact <email obscured> with questions.
---ST. PAUL E-DEMOCRACY OUTREACH SURVEY---
Please take the St. Paul E-Democracy Outreach Survey. In includes an
evaluation portion for the Rondo workshops, so it is very important to us that
we hear your opinion. The survey can be found at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=th82mAXVnoRin1t1nb5wkA_3d_3d .
---SUMMER WORKSHOP SCHEDULE---
This summer we will be partnering with the EXCO to host a repeat of our spring
schedule on Mondays and Wednesdays during the month of July (starting July 7).
While not required, we would appreciate that anyone interested in taking a
majority of the classes register with EXCO on their website; our class can be
found at http://www.excotc.org/node/168 . Of course, if you just want to show
up for one or two sessions, we welcome that as well. Either way, I'd love for
you to tell your friends and acquaintances about our workshops, and I look
forward to seeing them at our summer workshop series.
---DAILY PLANET WRITERS' GROUP---
In other news, The Twin Cities Daily Planet (tcdailyplanet.net) has an ongoing
writers' group at Rondo Library during our regular tabling time, starting at 4
pm. According to the Planet's website, you can "bring something you’re working
on to share with the group, or just come to get ideas and/or assignments." I
would also like to add that the writers' group is frequently done by 5:30 or
so, making it easy to go to both the writer's group and our workshops.
---E-DEMOCRACY WORKSHOPS FOR YOUR GROUP---
Finally, St. Paul E-Democracy would like to widen our audience by doing a
couple of our workshops each month "off site." If you have a group that would
be interested to host one of our workshops, please contact
<email obscured> . A rough list of workshops is available at
http://pages.e-democracy.org/SPED-Outreach .
Thanks for reading, and see you Monday.

When will the workshop begin. I'm very interested in doing some sort of civic
engagement using the electronic media.
Thanks,
