Bob Parker and his Council have spent 17 million dollars of your money to prop up the failing property companies of David Henderson. That’s only $120 for you reader, Pay here and pay now. Divide $17 million by ratepayers 150,000 and you get $120 to send to Dave Henderson, for each of you, and why not c’est la vie, after all Dave Henderson is one of Bob Parker’s principal backers for elections and he appears as CEO Tony Marryatt’ s mate, so what’s it to you ... Marryatt told the Council that they only had 3 days to decide this desperate commercial advantage. Citizens dear Citizens does this remind you of the October 2007 thursday purchase of the old Post Office in Hereford Street. This Ngai tahu property for Council Offices, Marryatt told us was an urgent purchase, within 24 hours. Thats after the building had been wasting for years. The weak story that Parker gobbledygookspeak has pushed is that he wants to make sure his ‘visions’ are not waylaid by inappropriate development. Yeah. Gosh. Its true. Our Mayor has visions. So why don’t they buy up everything that is for sale in central city. Jim Anderton MP “17 million to bail out property developer” Gerry Brownlie MP, “disgraceful …banking service for Henderson”] Brendon Burns ‘ smacks of favoritism” Well now, the Christchurch Press are unable to fathom out anything of value to the ratepayer within this financial transaction. Not only did sly Bob arrange secret deals and votes from the sycophant Councillors again behind our backs, he grossly overpaid this developer who helped him in to the Mayoralty, and as well he allows Henderson to buy back on good terms. Dave Henderson, affable, and charming as he is has nearly eighty Companies designed to segregate and separate business functions and circulate cash flow … and well you know if you believe the whole of the IRD was involved in a conspiracy against Henderson on GST evasion then well you would probably believe Bobbity Bob when he tells you its good for you to send Henderson money. Christchurch and South Island people have recently been subjected to major financial ratbags. This is how they operate . You invest money to say Hanover finance based on nice commercial rates. Eric Watson pockets say 10% of your money to his all fine weather Eric Hanover Investment Company straight away.. He lends Dave Henderson, affable, and charming as he is say $150 million . People like Watson lends money to a risky in crowd. Hanover and other badly managed Companies go down, Your friends and your parents get poor. And for those of you who still believe in the wonders of the Dave Henderson development schemes , check out the smelly rotting and collapsing buildings with liquor flowing South of Lichfield. These buildings have drain pipes which fell apart in 1932. Who else can retain consent for living apartments which have death trap fire escapes with ladders ending 20 feet from the ground, and the balconies clearly rotten and collapsing. Council will not name the names of the Council voters who voted for the inner city deal with the Dave Henderson beneficiary trust account of 17 million.. but I will Read up here Peter Luke my friend, The Councillors in favour of bank rolling Dave Henderson, but against holding down rents for the poorer citizens are “ Bob Parker, Sue Wells, Bob Shearer, Gail Sherrif, Mike Walls Claudia Reid, David Cox, Ngaire Button, Barry Corbett, Opposed to sending Henderson millions of dollars are , Yani Johanson, Chrissie Williams, Norm Withers and ( not sure) Sally Buck Disclosure. There is an element of story telling here but the facts are the facts and if that same lawyer wants to sue me well … make my week dude Sincerely, Paul Scott See my articles below http://forums.e-democracy.org/groups/canterburyissues/messages/post/pLhSMV8QpwviSnBoyffiq During the early part of the campaign for Mayor last year, I felt confident That Mayor Bob was a good choice. We would be rid of collective voting, individual Councillors could represent Their community, and Bob being unaligned politically would be a boost for Democracy. ANONYMOUS DONATIONS I suppose we started to feel a little unsure when we heard that it was property developers [ inner city] who were bank rolling Bob’s campaign. Of course neither he [ Bob ] nor they [ Dave ] could receive any benefit from the donations. That is Bob was telling us that he received thousands of dollars for his campaign and this was not benefit to him.. Is this deceitful, is it slick or is it just plain nonsense? The anonymous funding farce ended with a fantastic statement in the Christchurch Press from Dave Henderson who said he “had not yet contributed to the Bob Parker campaign, but that he would be soon and that donation would be anonymous”. I can not think of anyone less anonymous than Dave Henderson. Well of course now we know that all of this is nonsense and that the Parker Council is grossly corrupted The characters here are the ‘enormously solvent’ Dave Henderson and the unknowing Bob Parker. Reference http://forums.e-democracy.org/groups/canterburyissues/messages/post/1HX1eLBAm1ucJSyZ2oRbNN Imaginary conversation between Bob and his wife in October 2007. Bob to Joanne.. “ Gosh look Joanne… this is grand … some anonymous donor has sent us $20,000 look it says . Christchurch CBD development projects’ … and it’s a GST registered Company signed by a Dave someone … very flush signature Bob Bob …..who could that be ? Bob?.” Bob “ who knows Joanne … I am at arms length you know .. ask Tony Marryatt he won’t know either .. and anyway this Dave whoever he is .. said in the Press didn’t you read it Joanne .. he said … the donation is anonymous, and he doesn’t want any special treatment from us otherwise he would feel repugnant …. Its David Hansome and its not a true film baby .. . .…come on woman … get dressed .. we have to go out and smile at people”
OPPOSITION from everywhere to DISHONEST BACKROOM DEAL BUSINESS LOBBY QUESTIONS HENDERSON deals go here http://www.stuff.co.nz/thepress/4652136a6009.html My reply Parker is finished. He has made arrogance and secrecy his trade mark since the day before he came to the Mayoralty. He ignores principles of democracy, and makes secret deals according to the Council's Social Engineering Agenda for Christchurch. Councillors are reduced to sycophants, because their income gravy comes from appointed directorships. Henderson is a character who believes in his own fabrications including that that the IRD in its entirety conspired against him in the 1990's. Facts: He didn't pay GST. Henderson has nearly eighty Companies which go around and around in a vortex which IRD are only to familiar with. Nothing he says in public can be relied upon, and there is plenty of evidence for this. For instance in yesterdays Press he said that one of his sites went for half its book value. Henderson books are funny books. Facts. Council overpaid Henderson by 15% for these properties, and CEO Council Marryatt says it doesn’t matter, his words ‘its irrelevant”. Yes that’s right . its irrelevant. Marryatt actually says that hgenderson will buy the properties back. That’s right Tony. You will give him a 20% reduction. Pay here to the developer who takes money from you and puts it in his piggy bank . Pay money here for the Mayor who tells porky porky porky. Pay money here for Tony Marryatt who will seell the sites back to Henderson at a reduced price. There is more , much more dudes. Sincerely, Paul Scott
Mr Henderson funded Mr Parker's I want to mayoral face on to the backside of
all the buses and more.
That in and of itself makes this decision egregious. My question is did Mr
Parker recuse himself from the vote?
Mr Parker made some remark that didnt grace 'integrity' when he said he said in
the Town Hall he would reveal who funded him after the election. I wonder if he
knew then what he knows now?
If he didnt, IMHO, he should resign for reasons not so much of accepting
Hendersons money, but for being plain and simple, ill-advised. Property
developers as a rule have no truck with the delivery of good governance by the
CCC.
At least having a deputy who didnt vote for this shenanigans would go a long
way to reestablish some semblance of social justice and faith in elected
office.
Mr Parker compromised himself, and gave character to the man, when he
unashamedly espoused 'security camera's - validating his experience with the
POLICE one late evening when they caught and processed two criminal
'offenders'.
" It was Pot Bob, where were the victims of crime? " was the rejoinder. This is
the same man who said we needed to have the conversation about civil governance
and the drugs we party with.
Mr Henderson, it is well known, has hung onto his revenue earning property
portfolio, notably blessed 'with a bar on every corner'.
Compromise comes in strange parcels....
Some people say that you shouldn't judge people by how they look.
however...
I've always said that Bob Parker looks like a used-car salesman.
The last used car salesman that I dealt with was 12 years ago here in
Christchurch.
I test drove a car with the used car saleman in the passenger seat. When I
enquired why the red light was on, he said not to worry as it's just a minor
thing. When I enquired about how noisy the car sounded, he said that all
turbos sounded loud.
Seven days later, I made the used car saleman pay for the muffler that
*their* WOF guy failed to detect, as well as that brake fluid that was on
empty.
Maybe I was dealing with Bob...
Christchurch Money laundering scheme
Regarding the Bob Parker, Gary Moore, David Henderson fiasco
There is a lot of money involved dudes. Today I received many emails of
support for my posts.
I do not own commercial property in Christchurch.
I am clinical about this matter of money laundering by Christchurch Council
and I and many others will not wear it
I have no personal or business grudge against either Parker or Henderson.
Today in the Christchurch Press another one of Dave Henderson’s faces changed.
Last week he said he could not remember whether he gave money to Bob Parker or
not. Then today he said definitely he didn’t.
Do you believe him Charlie Gates, how about you Peter Luke do you believe him.
Read here dudes.
Henderson contributed between ten and twenty thousand dollars to the Parker
campaign through very secretive and different channels.
His only legally recorded donation is that to the son of Gary Moore, Johnny
Moore.
Read todays paper 13 August Wednesday and you will see Parker’s campaign
manager removing himself from Parker. There are good reasons.
The Winston Peters like arrangement where the benefactor doesn’t know the
contributor of funds is a farce.
Parker [ almost] certainly [ legal requirement] received funds from Henderson
directly and secretly to different places.
There is more coming dudes much moore.
What we have to ask ourselves is this.
How can we remove corrupted Councillors.
Also we have to choose a new Mayor and now, but how?
Sincerely, Paul Scott
White washing the details
Further evidence incoming to me on David Hendersons costs of purchase of the 17
million dollar property Council buy back,
This is Penny cycles, Sydenham square, Welles street, Para Rubber sites .
Total cost of purchases to Dave Henderson = 10.5 million
[ best estimate to date based on buy sell contracts of above properties ]
Total return from his friends [and what a friend] = 17 million
Profit = 7 million
Return to private account of Dave from management fee = 4 million
thanks Christchurch love you
Plenty enough to bank roll Parker’s next television campaign.
and beat off people like Megan Evans
GST? What GST?
Sincerely, Paul Scott
I have no idea if there is collusion or underhand dealing going on but
there is another issue that needs to be considered which is 'shareholder
value' if you'll forgive the analogy.
If the council, who must somewhere be charged with the prudent
expenditure of taxpayers' money, has bought these sites for less than
market value, to fulfil a genuine strategic need then someone was
probably going to make a profit and does it really matter who?
It seems to me to be fairly simple for the council to prove this should
they choose to and it does beg the question why the won't or haven't.
OK immediate above post was to see if people would respond.
I don't mean to impugn Dave Henderson, in many ways if he is the Council's
favourite son because he agrees with their planning objective then that is the
way it is.
And if he wants to make political donations that’s fine, but it is another
thing to deny it in a situation like this..
There was no proper reason to buy those properties,
and no reason to overpay for them,
and no good reason to keep the rate payer sidelined.
There is an insidious side to the arguments proposed for buying the Henderson
properties.
Bob
“Protection from poor development and big box retail.”
This is extremely worrying.
Like who is going to put big box retail in hidden away Welles street?
Who is going to change around the fundamentals of the Penny Cycles building?.
In a property market that is heading to 15% or more deflation this Council
bought in to a social engineering scheme at high prices.
What Bob really means is this:
The only developer we want in Christchurch is Henderson .
We have introduced him to our process whether you like it or not, so all other
developers shove off.
We will spend as much of your money as we like pursuing social and urban form
objectives.
We use speed and don’t consult because you dumb citizens would object and hold
us up.
That worked when we bought the Ngai Tahu building at a capitalized cost of
around $120million when we could have got it for less than $90 million.
We always pay the Piper.
And Tony Marryatt
“ We are putting our money where our mouth is “
..he means where YOUR money is
“ What we paid for the sites is irrelevant”
“ it was not a significant purchase so we didn’t have to consult you, and even
if it was significant it was urgent “
Yes that’s right Tony .. like the Ngai Tahu deal
I don't think anything we say will change Parker, or Marryatt .
There are two years to go in this electoral cycle and we should be looking for
a replacement to Parker now, and at the same time we should find a new CEO.
Sincerely, Paul Scott
The quantum of payment to Dave Henderson at $17 million is said by CEO Council
Tony Marryatt to be “irrelevant”.
This is because he says Henderson will ‘buy the properties back”
There is a problem here.
Once Henderson’s property Companies collapse in their entirety Henderson may
be declared a bankrupt again.
You can’t direct a Company as a bankrupt.
What do you think Council will do with these properties?.
First of all they will try to bury the costs in holding these properties,
and then when we sus out the costs involved they will sell them at a 20% loss,
to a developer. [ ha ha ].
and you Citizens ... pay here and pay now dudes.
Sincerely, Paul Scott
As they say - "long time listener etc etc ". Some of you may be interested in this blog which I discovered when searching for information on the buy up of henderson's properties : http://nzagainstthecurrent.blogspot.com/ this person seems to be right up with the play and often has Council orientated news here before The Press gets onto it - I note that he mentioned Cnr Sherriffs long stay in Bali well before it hit the pages of the Press May I add, I haven't spoken to ONE person in the last few days who isn't very angry at the way this Council is operating- and it certainly has been the hot topic in local gatherings cheers all
Yellow ,this building was a stand out on Manchester St. as a reputable store.
Now it is a waste of space waiting for what ?
That's an interesting blog ... very interesting and thanks for sharing...I
like the receipt -- Henderson DID contribute. It's in BLACK AND WHITE.
Where's Rodney? can't we get him to see into this matter like he did for
Peters??
Sounds like there's corruption in our council... and that is very worrying.
Yes mine too was designed to be provocative; that said, is the argument
for buying them is as phrased below, there is a much simpler way of
ensuring that safeguard, it's called Planning and Development Control,
wholly within the power of the council to exercise and cheaper than
paying $MMMs. I also find the statement of someone expending
ratepayers/taxpayers' money, " What we paid for the sites is irrelevant"
as arrogant and to a degree ignorant, in the extreme.
brenda dew wrote: > Yellow ,this building was a stand out on Manchester St. as a reputable store. > Now it is a waste of space waiting for what ? > > > brenda dew > It is not exactly a herigtage building is it? Besides what I presented at the Cashel Mall hearing, included below, I believe there is a need to recognise that families are getting smaller and chances for passing on child care knowledge thereby decreasing. If some parents of young children wish to work in the city in believe there could be arranged more creche facilities that the parents and children could get together in breaks, and see some measure of one another's child care developing, too. It says below that government offices are what revitalised Youngstown. I hope it is not only going to be building consruction as the attempted revitalisation. But maybe there is a hint for CCC keeping sites. Brian Sandle City Mall Hearings: Report of Brian Sandle 1 Nov 2006. In my submission I asked for the big trees in Cashel Mall to be kept. I also asked for event and people management to be worked at, instead of roadworks and tree removal. Trees protect us from wind, frost and burning overhead sun, and they attract birds to the area. Birds and foreign voices in City Mall On last Friday evening there were many birds chirping in trees about half way between Colombo St & Oxford Terrace. In contrast, near Colombo St, and rather surprisingly, near Oxford Tce and the river, birds were not chirping. They might like to be away from cars and their noise and /or exhausts. Many people like that too. Many foreign voices, especially, were to be heard in the mall. Studies from overseas: re-introducing vehicles ineffectual Studies from overseas are often equivocal about the sufficiency of re-introducing roads through pedestrian malls. Other management is needed. Ontario In Ontario a group of professional people donated their time to manage revitalisation of Old East Village. They desire revitalization and they are working very hard to achieve it from a grass roots level. Meanwhile, an arts, culture and heritage theme is emerging as a focal point for revitalization. These are being revealed as key strengths of the Village and forces are culminating to celebrate these strengths and clearly illustrate them to the wider community. A significant amount of ground work has been executed that have put in place the foundation for revitalization. This is important and difficult work that typically takes much longer than it has taken in the Old East Village – a testament to the community and good evidence that the prospects for revitalization are very good.” (PACT-oneyearaudit.pdf) A year before, in September 2002, when the Planners Action Team were doing “A Preliminary Analysis of the Old East Village” (Re-establishingValue-aPlanfortheOldEastVillage.pdf), they noted that part of a street was originally closed in the 1970s to all automobile traffic to create an outdoor pedestrian mall to try to replicate the pedestrian environment of newly developing suburban shopping centers that were having a major impact on Old East Village's business. It didn't work and to try to fix things they soon re-introduced traffic. That wasn't working and they re-introduced on-street parking in 1999. Still it wasn't working which is why the Planners' Action Team formed. So mightn't it be better to start with a planners' action team here? Youngstown Ohio Another example is from Youngstown Ohio where by the early 1980s the steel mills closed leaving it in decline. (http://www.answers.com/topic/downtown-youngstown) “By the early 2000s, Youngstown began to rise from the ashes of the economic decline, and began organizing for a citywide redevelopment plan known as Youngstown 2010, with one of the key points for the plan called for a downtown renaissance. One of the first plans was to re-open West Federal to traffic, which was completed in early 2005.” They say that while the department stores and businesses of yesterday may not return, progress now is by many old buildings being torn down to make way for new buildings, primarily government offices. Also there are the university and head offices, banks &c. Would a road in Cashel Mall attract such and the restaurants and entertainment to cater to their workers? It would seem better to keep it noise and exhaust-free place if it were to be restaurant entertainment support focus. I gave in my submission a number of mistakes from the New Brighton Area. Let's try to think really hard about City Mall. And o that it might have happened in New Brighton Mall, as many people were asking - the marvellous things that could have be got going, rather than spending all our money on roadworks.
MEDAL OF STUPIDITY
Sue Wells.

MEDAL OF STUPIDITY
she is dumb dudes,
she says all opposition is hopeless because
we are doing it for you Citizens,
and that fool Peter Townsend was obliged to notify me, of course we don't have
to notify you citzens of anything at all.
because my name is Sue Wells.
don't you know who I am.
I am Sue and well you know I am an idiot
best regards to all ,
Paul Scott
MEDAL of STUPIDITY
also to Ngaire Button.
A new Councillor she feels it her role to help educate us on to the belief that
these scary developers were out there waiting to put ugly big boxes at the
Penny cycles site and the Electrolux site.
She like the others believes that Council should oversee all development in
Christchurch, according to their social plan..
She is re-iterating the in house nonsense they devised to sell this project.
This is similar to the Sue Wells nonsense that all opposition to the Henderson
bail out comes from either hostile developers or hostile political opponents.
Polls taken over the city show overwhelmingly that this is not the case.
MEDAL of STUPIDITY
also to Barry Corbett
Barry Corbett goes so far as to name an undesirable looking business in South
Christchurh, that being Rebel Sport.
This is absolutey unacceptable. Councillor Corbett singles out what business is
OK and what is not.
He also thinks it's ok to assault or kill taggers. He said so, a few months
ago, and then retracted.
On the good side he is involved with city mission.
MEDAL of STUPIDITY
to Tony Marryatt
Tony told us that it was irrelevant what Council paid Henderson.
Like Ngaire Button he says its all fine because Henderson will buy the
properties back, with interest.
Even if Henderson doesn't buy back they are holding him close as an advisor.
Polls taken over the City show negativity to Henderson's possible future role
in Planning.
MEDAL of DISGRACE to the collective Councillors for this ebntire affair.
Sincerely, Paul Scott
I dont think you should be allowed to talk like that here, even if we
are stupid compared to you.
Ngaire has done amazing things for St Albans, ie helped make a working
committee for the Edgeware Pool thing. That could make our City Council
actually have to be accountable to the children of CHCH if they take
away their libraries and pools.
I think on that alone she deserves a medal of community genius, unlike
you who had to resort to insults. Always the resort of those with
nothing wise to say.
Yours Kerry McKenna
