I was once surrounded by raccoons at a
bus stop, alone, late at night. Seriously, though, they will do damage to a
cat, or to a person who comes too
close or makes them feel threatened. They're cute from a distance, but not
after you hear the demonic hiss they can make
or see those razory-fangs. Keep the lid on your garbage can weighted down, the
kids warned, and the cat
indoors. Years ago in California, my family tried to foster one after it was
hit by a car, and it tore through the
chicken wire hutch with its bare claws, scrambled up a tree, and offered to
kill us when we offered it an open can of
tuna.God's little wild creatures.... or the masked bandito of SATAN?On Tue, 20
