As President of the Medica Skyway Senior Center Friends Board, I would like to
personally invite you to come to a free "Art Opening and Silent Auction"
featuring works from the Jean Stephen Galleries (917 Nicollet Mall) on
Thursday, May 15th from 4:00 pm.-5:15 pm. (free hors d'oeuvres and liquid
refreshments) at the Medica Skyway Senior Center in downtown Minneapolis.
Admission is by your business card. There will be a brief program at 5:15 pm.
where we will introduce prominent guests and talk about the Center, and the
event will conclude at 6:30 p.m. On your way home from work, you can easily
park in the Target retail ramp, then go up to the skyway level, and thence to
the Center on the west side of Target's retail building (Call the Center
612-370-3869 for detailed directions).
You can feel free to just browse, look at the paintings, and find out a little
about our Center. Or, you can think about investing your IRS tax rebate in one
of the items at the event.
The event will include two art works donated by the Jean Stephen Gallery owners
(Steve and Jean Danko) and we plan to have "gift cards" from downtown area
restaurants and businesses that guests can bid on in the silent auction as
well. If you are interested in buying any of the wide variety of pieces of
nationally and internationally recognized art (including the works of Parkes,
Cheret, Miro, Luongo, and Jiang, among others) that will be hanging in the
Center from May 15th-May 30th (again thanks to the generosity of the Jean
Stephens Gallery), the commission will be donated by the Gallery to the Medica
Skyway Senior Center Friends Board---a 501 (c) (3), which provides a wide
variety of services to senior citizens in Minneapolis and area.
I would really like to have you attend, and please forward this announcement to
all of your friends, acquaintances and members of the community. I look forward
to seeing you at this wonderful event!

Tim do you have an email for Wally. May is better speech and hearing month and
I'd like to see about doing a presentation at the senior center on better
hearing.
