Inspired by Information is Beautiful's Rhetological Fallacies
(http://bit.ly/rhetological), I created an Android app for tracking
the rhetorical and logical flaws uttered by politicians and pundits. I
think it helps promote transparency and accountability, and makes a
useful mode of participation and engagement.
Just drag an icon for a misteak in reasoning to the icon of a
participant, and Rhetolog builds a sorry catalog of misdirection and
pandering. Add your favourites (i.e., those you can recognize most
easily) into a MRU list at the bottom. Send the results to other apps,
or collate with your friends somehow (no central website yet, hey, I
just can't stomach the Red Bull the way I used to).
Pushed hard to get it out in time for the end of the U.S. Presidential
campaign. If I had only known this would be such an important theme,
this time around...
It's free (as the source material is), and available at
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=name.zurell.kirk.apps.android.rhetolog
Thanks for letting me crow a little.
