This month Transition Towns Phillips is working with our neighbors to build
momentum and relationships, come join us for a fun day in the sun (or inside
dancing if it rains)!
Mother Earth Day and Transition Towns Potluck
When: Friday, April 22nd, 5-9pm
Where: Corcoran Park (3334 20th Avenue, Minneapolis)
Please help us come together in celebration of Mother Earth, of coming together
in our Transition Towns, and of each other. This Pot Luck will be held at
Corcoran Park and in conjunction with the Corcoran Neighborhood's Transition
group Corcoran Grows and other Transition neighborhoods too!.
There will be poetry, singing, frisbee, face painting and general family
friendly fun. We hope to have a great time actually coming together to just get
to know one another, and start the path of building real relationships. We hope
you can join us!
We are hoping to make this a zero waste, easy going event. You can help by
bringing:
*A dish to share (either dessert, salad, main, juice/tea).
*Your own dishes, silverware, and napkins (this helps a lot with our zero waste
goal).
*Yourself, your family, and friends!
*A frisbee (labeled is good), or other fun making device.
*Your Camera, we'd love someone to take pictures.
We will be there, rain or shine, as we have a space inside the park building if
we need it!
ps...This is meant to be family friendly, and would like to have something for
the little ones to do, besides just the playground...If you know of especially
good games or activities for kids, please let us know. We will have butcher
paper, markers, and chalk for them.
