always welcome to join at any time. Roles are decided at the November

* Alan Wills from The Malthouse Theatre gave an enthralling talk re
http://www.malthouse.co.nz - one of Christchurch's very oldest buildings.
CRA wishes to take up the invitation of a tour through this historic
place, so please reply if you are interested so that we can work out a
date to go. CRA members suggest a coffee meet-up at Red Cafe in South
Library, ahead of starting the tour. Let us know if you'd like to join in.

Cashmere buses - a return of more service is essential for the less
mobile, so CRA proposes a new local circuit for a small bus (as at city
north-west) connecting Dyers Pass Rd and Kidson Tce, Landsdowne Tce and
Bowenvale Ave with Beckenham and Somerfield to Barrington hub, then west
as another loop to Hoon Hay, Rowley, Westmorland, Cracroft, Lower
Cashmere, Somerfield and Spreydon-Barrington again. A working party has
begun on this, has numbers already and invites your participation. Please
contact Jan Webster 3322893 or reply by email to show support. Thank you.
* A resident asked what community entertainment use could be made of the
Sign of the Takahe, now repaired and empty. Any advice or statement of
interest is welcome. The City owns it and still seeks a lessee, as far as
we know.
* Congratulations to the new government formed since AGM. We look forward
to every improvement you can bring.
* If you have any local news to add, please send it in to CRA in reply.
