The LWV- Winona Unit will also be providing Voter Services on how to
register to vote and locations of polling places. The State of Minnesota
has completed its mandatory redistricting for representative governance
areas and will be in effect for the Primary election. Knowing your polling
location is very important. General Election Forums will be held
throughout September and October 2012.
Watch for media announcements on those dates to be released after the
Primary Election, August 14, 2012. We encourage all citizens age 18 and
older to exercise their right to vote in the Primary election.
If you need an absentee ballot or to register as a Voter, please contact the
Winona County Auditor- Treasures Office for this information. The
Minnesota Secretary of State website also provides basic information for
you. The mission of the LWV is to encourage citizens to be active in our
democracy. We look forward to seeing the candidates and the public at the
Voter Service Forums.
