Dear Neighbors,
"Moving Together 2014", the annual Massachusetts Department
of Transportation (MassDOT) bicycle, pedestrian, and transit
conference, was held in Boston on October 30. The theme of the
conference was the expansion of healthy and sustainable
transportation including walking and bicycling. Acting Secretary
and CEO of MassDOT Frank DePaola gave the keynote address
detailing the latest MassDOT programs for sustainable
transportation. Approximately 600 people from throughout the
Commonwealth attended the conference.
By my unofficial count a total of five people representing
Framingham attended. The following individuals took time from
their busy schedules to attend the conference.
-> Erika Jerram, Department of Community and Economic
Development Senior Planner
-> Amanda Loomis, Planning Board Administrator
-> Alexander Mello, Planning Board Associate Program Planner
-> Marianne Iarossi, ZBA Administrator
-> William Hanson, Framingham Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory
Committee Chair
For those unfamiliar with the conference you can find information
on the Moving Together WWW site. You can also download written
material from the conference workshops.
