A 3/8ths percent sales tax to promote this proposal will do nothing to protect
our environmental concerns, and will only open the gate for more nickel and
dime tax increases later. I agree with the lottery argument. When the
lottery was established back in 1990, citizens were told the proceeds would
protect and support our natural environment. A few years ago, some of the
lottery proceeds were diverted to something else...so much for that plan...
I don't support the 3/8ths sales tax increase, and urge others not to support
it either.
