Join the filmmakers for a screening of "Jingle Dress," a narrative feature
film by William Eigen. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with food and music,
then at 7 p.m. hear remarks from the filmmakers followed by the screening.
"Jingle Dress" tells the story of John Red Elk who hears from his relatives
in Minneapolis that his Uncle Norton is dead and vows to go to the big city
to find out what really happened to him. The film stars Chaske Spencer and
Stacey Thunder, and introduces Mauricimo and S'Nya Sanchez-Hohenstein.
Doors open at 6 pm with complimentary food using traditional native
ingredients by Austin Bartold, Executive Chef of Waite House and a member of
the Lac
Courte Oreille Ojibwe Indian Reservation. At 7 pm Mr. Eigen will make a few
remarks to be followed by the screening.
