Hi all
A couple of weeks ago now a man's Dawes bike, in very good condition and with
some extras, was found outside Chris' car repair garage on Smyth Road. It
later turned out that someone had found it in the alley down the side of the
garage and had put it out the front. It appears to have been stolen, possibly
from a back garden off that alley, but then abandoned as the chain is still
locked round the bike.
Chris called the Bridewell Police Station and reported it "found", but so far
there have been no calls or enquiries. Since it obviously belongs to someone
who is a serious cyclist and who has spent some money on this bike, Chris from
the garage is keen to make as much effort as possible to trace the owner and
return the bike.
If you think this could be your bike then please contact the police and give
them further details to identify this as your bike and it can be returned.
Chris is currently on holiday, so it won't be available immediately as it is
locked up, but at least you will get it back!
Best wishes
