âHi Johnâ,
I really hate it when folks have to get all philosophical about this or that,
but it is necessary at times to steer things back to, dare I write it again
(yes, of course), objective reality.
Everything, but everything, is opinion, especially so for John Gaylord and his
ilk when referring to those with opinions on this or that than their own.
You see, phenomena are perceived by usâin the minds/brains of those who bother
with them anywaysâthrough our senses and we create a symbolic representation,
an idea of what we think is going on. If we donât do that, we defer to folks
who say they do and take up their conclusions as the gospel truth.
Sometimes that representation is steeped in myths, religions, and ideologies of
all sorts, and sometimes the representation is more neutral, stripped of all
the culturally based stuff or at least recognizes this or that bias; the latter
is more towards a scientific standard of opinions we refer to as theories and
laws of science when a whole lot of folks who look at the same phenomena in
great detail coming up with the same symbolic representation (the consensus
opinion).
The differences between all of these opinions are how we classify them with
various terms depending upon what we believe about their reliability. Time
spent in simply observing or manipulating the stuff observed and forming
opinions leads to greater and greater agreement on whatâs actually going on,
i.e., objective reality.
I am pleased that Ed and Anthony have chimed in as otherwise I was through
despite the latter biting on this bit from JG:

Anthony touched on the idiocy of the last question, the next to last us just a
reflexive riff into âGod, Guns, and Gaysâ Republican rhetoric, and the first is
just more âsound and furyâ.
Only two P(s)OTUS have ever been impeached, both were Democrats and both were
acquitted by the Senate. Nixon resigned before what would have been a strong
bipartisan impeachment with conviction in the Senate inevitable. While
impeachment efforts or drumbeats are not exclusive to either party in power in
recent history, arguing that Democrats are the biggest culprits is just more
projection; if you donât believe that just count the âimpeach Obamaâ efforts).
If we ever have occasion to amend the constitution again for some needed
purpose, that would be great, but it remains available to do exactly what Iâve
called for in this thread in its present form. The evidence against Trump for
articles of impeachment continues to build, but there is enough now whether you
believe collusion by Trump exists or that he was ignorant enough to believe he
was not working with a foreign power to subvert our elections.
I would love it if citizens of all the countries in the world could banish
problematic leaders to an island somewhere, maybe for a new or version of an
old reality television show with Putin, Trump, Kim, Netanyahu, et al., but a
Trump resignation or constitutional removal (4th Article impeachment and
conviction or permanent 25th Amendment removal), is enough for me as an
American. When my opinion has wide consensus and a mandate from the people, it
will happen.
Love, love, love. All you need is love. Iâve said it before. I love Donald John
Trump. Trump will save the entire world, indirectly, by driving the consensus
opinion of the entire world that he and his party should be left to their own
devices and completely out of guvmit.
The beauty of it for this Democrat (canât really see being in any other party,
but this one goes with the flow whether this geezer is swimming with or against
it), is that the more Republicans defend Trump or insist that nothing he has
done amounts to âTreason, Bribery, or other ...,â the worse it gets for them.
Love, love, love.
But still, ... âHaters gotta hateâ. Post away, JG. Weâre all waiting for your
next opinion, but keep in mind Russian socialism or even Russian takes on âGod,
Guns, and Gaysâ, are likely not within the scope of the forum. Why not start
your own hateful thread about American socialism?
Or just do what you do. I love that too.
