Now in 2018, Frogtown Farm is excited to bring community and farming into
its full 5 acres! You can be a part of the farm in 3 ways:Community Farm
NightOn Tuesday evenings from 5-8pm, be a part of an operating urban farm
by joining the farm crew! Field preparations, planting, harvesting,
weeding, trellising, and more happen in a team-work setting lead by
Frogtown Farm field staff. This is a family friendly, welcoming, and
engaging way for community members to experience the park and farm, support
our organic production and explore the variety of crops grown on site.
Frogtown Farm will provide supplies and guidance for visitors to try
farming activities. These sessions are drop-in, suitable for almost all
ages (children under 12 years need to be accompanied by an adult). All
involved will sign a waiver to participate, and those under 18 years should
have the waiver signed by an adult. All involved will sign a waiver to

selection of seasonal vegetables from the farm? Would you like to gain a
deeper experience of urban organic farming? A Frogtown Farm Workshare
provides you fresh, farm-grown produce in exchange for your time working
with the Frogtown Farm field crew. Workshare participants commit to 10
visits during the season for 2 hours per visit. During those sessions,
Workshare participants become an integral part of the farm crew that
prepares fields, plants, amends, irrigates, harvests and cleans crops to be
distributed in the Frogtown neighborhood both at the free Friday Fresh Food
distributions, and at the farm’s market on Saturdays. In thanks, Workshare
participants will be able to select 5 items each Saturday from the Farm’s
booth at Market Saturdays over the course of the season (a $300 value over
the season). Workshare shifts have flexible scheduling and are pre-arranged
with the Farm Manager. Shifts are typically during Tuesday night Community
Farming time, or weekdays between 8am to 2pm. This opportunity is ONLY
available to nearby residents 16 years old and older. Workshare
opportunities are limited in number and require a contract to be signed in
advance. Market Saturdays at Frogtown Farm2018 brings a new farmers market
to Frogtown Park and Farm! Frogtown Farm’s organically grown produce will

kids activities, cooking demonstrations, produce sampling and backyard
