Big River Yoga presents its second annual Triathlon Event (a yoga-inspired
"tri-OM-thlon") on the day after the Autumn Equinox on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 23! All
proceeds go to The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project. Come do good
for your body and mind while you do good for others!
This is a 3 part event:
1) RUN/WALK (you choose!), 2) ASANA YOGA CLASS, 3)YOGA NIDRA (yoga "sleep" or
guided relaxation). Each part is approx 45 mins.
When: Sunday September 23 - 1:30pm start
THE FLORENCE PROJECT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit legal service organization
providing free legal services to men, women, and unaccompanied children in
immigration custody in Arizona.
1:00pm - Doors open
1:30pm - Run (4 miles) or Walk (3 miles)
2:30pm - Yoga class (level 1) with Geraldine
3:30pm - Yoga Nidra with Leona
4:30 - Refreshments & Treats to follow
RUN/WALK: Choose between a 4 mile run loop or a 3 mile walking route along the
Mississippi River lead by Big River Yoga teachers and staff.
YOGA CLASS: Level 1 yoga class aimed at cooling down and stretching out after
the run/walk. Lengthen your hamstrings, ease tension in your hips, and calm
your nervous system.
YOGA NIDRA: Translated as "yogic sleep"; this is a guided relaxation that
utilizes visualizations combined with intention setting perfect for the Equinox
transition in order to manifest your visions. Participants lay flat in
supported savasana pose and are guided through the practice.
Suggested donation: $20-$40. PLEASE REGISTER below to RSVP. Space is limited so
