Several people have mentioned crime as one of their main concerns.

The Mpls Police Dept. is putting on training for people interested in
becoming block leaders.  The training is to develop skills for
effectively working with your neighbors on crime and other issues in
the community. Details for this training are at the bottom of this
email.

Also, Sue Roethele is the Crime Prevention Specialist for precinct
3.  She came over to our house one evening and gave us several tips
on how to make our house and garage more secure.  It takes about a
half-hour and is free.  We found this to be very helpful.  Sue can be

One last thing.  The police department sends out weekly email updates
on crime in the precinct.  Unfortunately, I can't remember how we
signed up.  I'm sure that Sue can help you.
