Info about party conventions/platforms

A friend just asked:
"Do you or anyone you know have any ideas about how I could find out more about
the state DFL and Republican conventions, especially who is involved in putting
together the state party platforms. I found out that the DFL has a Platform
and Issues Commission but I don't know who is on it."
Anyone have a good answer - or anyone can point us towards some good info?
