sort order of messages

The "linear" web view is a feature not an error. All most all web forums
list the first message on the top with the latest (most recent) at the
bottom.
It sounds like you are in topic digest mode. To turn off, send an
e-mail to:
<email obscured>
You will then receive one post at a time. Full text digests (usually
with lots of excess quoting or repeat messages at the bottom of posts)
have been replaced with the cleaner webview.
In the subject write:
digest off
If others want to try the digest mode (sample below), simply instead write:
digest on
