Your page is impossible to read: it seems to have white text on a white

We certainly don't _need_ this historic event, and I wouldn't want to go to it
myself, but it would be a shame if it disappeared. It's good to see the
traffic stopped just once a year.
And it would be better if it was held in the school holidays, with an easier
way of remembering the date. The current formula of "the Monday and Tuesday
following the first Sunday after St Giles' Day " is very hard to cope with even
if you know that St Giles' Day is 1 September. It means that when 1 September
is a Saturday, the fair is held at the earliest possible time (3 & 4
September); but when 1 September is a Sunday, the fair is held at the latest
possible time (9 & 10 September).
