Wow, this sounds great and i think it would be a good opportunity for our young
forum to meet in person if people are interested. The other thing that comes to
mind that MORPC will be looking at doing a regional plan that will encompass
transportation, watershed planning, housing, energy and more. I would be very
curious and hopeful that we could link efforts like Art Building Bridges to our
planning activities and try to make our plan incorporate these elements too.
Look forward to seeing people there.

Subject: [CORIF] Water and the soul of the city
Pulling together two of the most recent threads:
As co-curator of the "Ways of Knowing Water" exhibit that has been at OSU's
Urban Arts Space all summer, I thought members of this forum might be
interested in an event we're hosting on August 28th at the UAS. It's on "Art
Building Bridges," and we see it as a chance to brainstorm ways for the arts to
promote deeper engagement with and appreciation for our local watersheds.
We'll have a couple of speakers, including David Guion of the Dublin Arts
Council, which has been thinking a lot about how the Scioto divides and joins
that community, as well as a variety of local artists and watershed groups.
While not directly about water quality per se, the event (and the exhibit) are
meant to spark conversation about the sense of place that Laura mentioned in
her post, and to brainstorm ways to nourish and enhance it. The event is free,
refreshments provided, and anyone who cares enough about Central Ohio to be on
this list is most certainly invited.
