Apart from how one gets included on these lists I too pondered the use
of this term "corridor". Brighton has been branded as the place to be
yet presumably, through default of terminology, London Road is
conceived as that part of it one simply passes through to get to
somewhere else. Hence the vast amounts of cash already spent on
ensuring the present status of this neighbourhood as one huge traffic
magnet. Where exactly are people passing through to, the Palace Pier,
North Street, in search of a mystical seafront parking space?
Presumably this would be the reason why Sainsburys (and now Tesco)
view this neighbourhood as the perfect location for their drive-to
supermarkets. Which seems a good point to begin questioning the core
premise of any "masterplan". The way forward in my mind would be to
encourage a far greater integration of residential, leisure,
commercial and social infrastructure, reducing our cherished
dependancy upon increasingly unsustainable armour-plated armchairs.

As to how I got onto the list - I'm not a local resident by the way -
I'd assumed it had something to do with this forum. I'd expressed an
opinion so it was considered wise to have me in the tent 'looking' out
rather than outside 'looking' in, if you get my meaning.
