Anyone know where I can recycle cartons and tetrapacs? The council kerbside
scheme won't touch them as they say the nearest recycling plant is in
Scotland. making it uneconomic. Fair enough. However, Magpie take them so
do they send them up north?
As cartons are a good 30% of my waste, and difficult to avoid, I don't just
want to chuck them - I'd love to be a zero waste person. Maybe I should
renew my Magpie service. It seems mad that given the amount of things in
cartons and tetrapacs that there isn't a plant closer.
Some years ago I was on a campsite in Luxemburg. Even here it was possible
to recycle cartons, yogurt pots and the like - why is Britain still so
behind.
