Post in Headington's subway (underpass)

I always use it, for its intended purpose, unless the road is unusually quiet.
And as often as not I meet at least one person coming the other way. Apart from
its scenic splendour it's convenient and safe.

This would of course be part of Phase 2 (Osler Road to Wharton Road) of the
improvements, which have been postponed to 2010/11, so the subway now has a
stay of execution of two years. (I think that the lady writing the letter
imagined it was imminent, when in fact the decision is still hanging.)

Older Headington people claim to be very fond of the subway, but I see a lot of
them taking their chances crossing the road above it. I wondered what people on
this forum felt about it. Do you use it regularly?
