What will happen about tradespeople parking?
I recently had quite a bit of work done on my house
and overall it took about 3-4 months, with the
builders (obviously) having to park in the road during
that time. Other than ramp up the bill if they had to
use pay and display, I presumably would have had to
use up all my allowed visitors' passes to accommodate
them, so then not being able to accommodate family for
the rest of the year.
I also wonder how happy people will be to pay £40 for
a permit only to find themselves still parking in the
next street.
I notice that double yellow lines will be painted in
front of all garages - that means that garage owners
can't use that space themselves - for tradespeople,
for instance.
