Welcome, everyone! Let me begin by introducing myself. I am Liz Ike,
serving as one of the two forum managers on the Central Ohio Regional Issues
Forum. I am a master's student at the Ohio State University pursuing a
degree in City and Regional Planning. I am very excited to be a part of
this forum and look forward to observing and participating in the
discussions that are relevant to the members of this region!
I am a lifelong resident of Central Ohio. I grew up in Grove City and have
lived in Clintonville for the past two years. I have seen tremendous
changes in the area throughout the recent years and anticipate that right
now our regionour communityis on the cusp of an innovative transition. My
work experiences and recreation interests have sent me throughout the
Central Ohio Region and I hope that this forum will allow me to hear the
voices from all corners of the area that I have known only as a visitor.
This 'regional voice' is so important in the change process that has already
begun. Issues like transportation, housing, economic development, etc. are
so relevant to all members of the community, and I believe the discussions
we will share in this forum will help to establish goals and, ultimately,
realize positive change!
If anyone has questions or concerns about the forum as we begin the
discussion, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Best,
Liz Ike
