We will be coming up on the one year celebration of the existence of the
Roseville Issues Forum, RIF. That's been a long time since we have had any
type of introductions from people. I know that the membership has been
slowly building. I thought that it would be nice to have a little spot
where people might want to drop a post to say hello and introduce yourself
if you are new or haven't taken time to say hello. Along with your
introduction, maybe a word or two about your ideas of the RIF.
My Introduction:
My name is Ken Yokanovich. I was recently appointed the forum manager. I
don't think of myself as possessing any particular talents for the position,
but I WAS willing to step forward and attempt to help out. I am 36,
married and madly in love with my wife (my best friend) since August of
1996. We have two beautiful and wonderful daughters ages 10 and 7. We
have lived in Roseville for coming up on 8 years. By a large margin, my
wife is much more social than I am. She is pretty active in volunteering
with our neighborhood school Falcon Heights Elementary. I look forward to
participating and getting more involved with the happenings in Roseville to
see if I can offer something to make the place that we live in a little
better.
My Thoughts on the Roseville Issues Forum:
I am very interested in the idea of a forum. I think that it could be a
great opportunity for more people to participate, discuss, and to have a way
to be connected and involved in the happenings of the place that we
live. For those of us who hold down a household, jobs, and busy life
schedules, maybe a way to reach out? Hopefully, we as members of
the community that we live in will feel comfortable and can come up with
constructive ideas and discussions and use this format to share.
