35-E Weekend Closures Ahead

Southbound I-35E will be closed for resurfacing from I-94 to W 7th this weekend
starting at 8PM Friday through 5AM Monday. Per an article in the SPPP,
southbound 35-E will also be closed next weekend (5/16-19) and then the weekend
after Memorial Day weekend (5/30-6/2).
The Northbound stretch will be closed the first three full weekends in June
(6/6, 6/13 and 6/20)
The official detour is Hwy 52 from I-94 to I-494. I suspect that "unofficial
detours" will be heavily used except by through traffic, confused
Minneapolitans and other tourists. ;-)
