Ah. So - use government keep the business that
provides *better than union-scale* jobs out of the
neighborhood, to protect the tiny minority of
grocery-store employees that are unionized (and, as
importantly, so the workers don't see the man behind
the curtain). Got it!
So - corporate welfare, only for unions.

Sounds like the neighborhood is pretty much an
afterhought in that last bit, Dennis.
