Decorating Gala Bingo with the "help" of graffiti
writers will increase the amount of tagging etc on the
surrounding properties. By "trying" to attract
graffiti writers to decorate the property you would
actually be potenitally encouraging them to cause
criminal damage as it would be extremely doubtful that
the property owners or their agents would condone the
use of graffiti on a property that is on the open
market. Just because it is not on their website
doesn't mean that they are not actively promoting it.
Last nights audit of North Street was, in part, about
reducing graffiti in the area and not encouraging it.
There are several different agencies in the area
trying their hardest to tackle the graffiti problem,
we shouldn't be seen to be doing anything that will
encourage it in the slightest.
