Post in Plant Swap
Finally, a decent day! The first batch of traditional orange daylilies - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemerocallis_fulva - are ready for the taking. First come, first serve. I have 5 boxes (see photo link below) - take one, take all five! I'll let the group know when they are gone. I plan to put out a second batch. Pick them up at 3211 E. 44th Street - right on the curb near the alley - can't miss them. Also, after I put wood chips along the alley the other year I seemed to create the perfect seeding ground for a mixed variety of purple, pink, and white phlox (2'-4') that has probably been here for 50 years, so if you want some of those let me know or watch for my next Plant Swap post. I will also have some kind of tall 6'-8' yellow flower - someone called it a perennial sunflower once that I need to dig away from the alley. You'd definitely want to grow this against a wall or fence. It flowers from July to September! Cheers, Steven Clift
