Here's some details from a MPD Codefor report that was forwarded to me.  You

MPD HIGHLIGHTS for the week of 6-12 May, 2008

... Minneapolis Police Department Highlights for the week of 6-12 May, 2008,

service.  These highlights are not reflective of all incidents handled or
investigated by MPD during this time.

5700 34th Av S:
Officers responded to shooting in area; caller stated person shot; officers
unable to locate victim; info then aired that victim at HCMC with
non-life-threatening wounds; 1st Prct squads responded, detained 2 males who
brought victim to HCMC; victim provided limited info, other 2 had conflicting
stories; officers checked block where victim stated he was walking when shot,
unable to locate crime scene; victim sustained non-life-threatening wounds
CID investigating

4700 blk Cedar Av S:
Officers responded to shooting at gas station; 2 victims shot while inside
their car; conflicting stories from victims; 1 had bullet near his heart but
was talking, stable; 2 guns involved; 2nd victim had minor wounds
CID investigating

Juvenile Unit:
Investigating: ASSAULT: 41st St/28th Av S: 16-yr-old shot by suspected gang
members who live nearby

3rd Precinct:  Violent crime totals fell this week, with general 31% decrease.
Burglary and auto theft increased slightly this week, but are still slightly
lower than last year at this time.
