Most lift-share websites that I have come across are hard to use, hard to
understand, and produce no results at all. Commuters offer seats to London at
7am returning at 5pm, while most requests come from people who want to get to
pop festivals or places on the Continent.
It is hard to see how you can be sure that a stranger will be a safe companion
or will pay for their share of petrol as agreed.
Has anybody successfully used any of these websites, and if so would they like
to share the secrets of their success?
