I would vote yes.
Though I have one hope (though my vote would still be yes without it).
The proviso is that I think the announcements list should by default
automatically subscribe all current and new SPED subscribers, and
require them to "opt out" if they wish to unsubscribe. My rationale
is that in the beginning we are essentially splitting the functions
currently performed by SPIF, and therefore I suggest all current SPIF
members be automatically subscribed to this list.
Hopefully in the long run, the announcements list will take on a life
of its own.
Likewise, I would encourage the default to be all new SPED/SPIF
members are automatically subscribed, because too many members never
make it back to our webpage to change their subscriptions.
