Mission Statement
E-Democracy builds online public space in the heart of real democracy and community. Our mission is to harness the power of online tools to support participation in public life, strengthen communities, and build democracy.
Winona Community Forum is an ongoing, community-wide discussion via email about issues that affect life in Winona. The goal of this forum is to give everyone a greater voice in decisions that affect the community, increase civic participation, and help to encourage more input into solutions to local problems. It is also a place where community members can have conversations regarding everyday *local* topics - from local service provider recommendations and lost pet notices to discussion of crime and community event announcements. The Winona Community Issues Forum was launched in 2001 as "Winona Online Democracy". This forum's primary mission remains increasing civic participation in the community.
