I'm involved with an awesome organization (Gifts for Kids) that identifies
families in need through local social service agencies. Through this
organization you can sponsor a child/children (about $100 per kid) whose
families can't afford holiday presents for them. You receive a list of what
they need and do the shopping for them (it's heartbreaking -- sometimes these
families ask for diapers and underwear for their kids). If you are interested
in learning more about sponsoring a child, I've attached a letter with more
information. You can also email <email obscured> to request a child. If you
would like to donate funds or extra, unused clothes or toys those are greatly
appreciated as well.
Best,
Gayle
