Purpose and Goals

The purpose of this forum to empower those who live and work on the West Side of St. Paul to build capacities within our community.  Effective use of this forum will increase our ability to share information with each other, problem solve, and address the issues that impact the West Side.  In short, we are here to help each other in a constructive and supportive manner.

The goals of St. Paul West Side Neighbors Forum are:

  • To create a positive, safe environment for people to connect and learn from one another.
  • To inform West Side residents of issues within the community, current events, and other relevant topics on the West Side.
  • Exchange viewpoints and opinions and discover new or different perspectives and present these views to local elected officials and with government staff who serve the West Side.
  • To promote partnerships, collaborative problem-solving, and positive, citizen-driven change for our neighborhood.
  • to have active conversations about a wide range of topics that are relevant to ..., and
  • to reflect a wide range of points of view.
