cropping as a means to increase organic matter in the soil, suppress weeds and
build beneficial insect habitat in your urban farms and gardens. Learn about
different types of cover crops, their management practices and which would be
best suited for the space you are growing in.
Riverbed Farm has a 4 year crop rotation plan. Two years are dedicated to soil
building cover crops and two years are in vegetable and small grain production.
Certified Organic since 1994, the farm grows for their small CSA, area co-ops
and independent restaurants around the Twin Cities.
This FREE program is brought to you by the Riverview Library and Growing West
Side. No registration required.
