Joel Rosenberg:
That aside, I'm curious. Are any of the folks who express shock and outrage at
the criticism of, with preposterous haste, the idea of slapping Barack Obama's
name on a public school prepared to accept with equanimity the tit that surely
shall be encouraged by this tat?
Eric Mitchell:
We've already hit the 'why' and you've already predicted how damaging it would
be. However, between your above statement and what you wrote below, you
demonstrate and stunning resistance to even try to understand.

Joel Rosenberg:
I mean, hey, *I* think it would be amusing for the Republicans to respond with
Michelle Bachmann Elementary out in her district, and I want somebody to snap a
picture of El Tink's face when he hears that that's where his grandkids will be
going.
Eric Mitchell:
Small difference, Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States in
220 years.
Michelle Bachman is around the 12,000th Member to serve in the House.
Obama is the first African American President, Bachman is the 258th woman to
serve in Congress.
Bachmann is the third women to serve from Minnesota. She is the first from that
district.
Aside from that important historical difference, this was something started
locally, if Bachman can find a school district in her CD that wants to do this-
more power to them. No one is stopping them from honoring her by naming a
public after her. However, expect her extreme lack of support of public
schools, attacks on teachers and her attempt to dismantle the system to come
up. I don't see it happening but, I don't live there.

Joel Rosenberg:
Works for me, and I'm sure it'll be great fun for the folks to talk about at
Limbaugh High (how fitting a name, eh?). Looking forward to the Football games
between Ritchie Elementary and Kiffmeyer Middle School, aren't you?
Eric Mitchell:
If the parents and local taxpayers approve, game on. None of them on that list
has accomplished what Obama has. What you've done is par this down to the old
conservative-liberal argument. The reality of the problem is that
conservatives, at least the ones you've named, have worked to dismantle the
public school system, attacked teachers and ignore the needs of the students
who have to attend these schools. They don't care about public schools, unless
someone from the opposite party is being honored by one- then they want in.
Sorry Joel, I'm still reading 'quack, quack, quack' in your posts.
