Two unrelated items:

"The Herb Guy" at the St. Paul Farmer's Market will recycle and reuse
most plastic pots. Most commercial operations will only take back
the heavy duty black plastic ones, but "The Herb Guy" seems willing
to take most others. If like me, you have collected an outrageous
amount of them in your basement, and have hated to throw them away,
deliverance is a short way away...

And in other news, the Cinema Ballroom in St. Paul (corner of
Snelling and St. Clair) celebrated its third anniversary tonight with
an informal gala and live orchestra. It was great fun, and if anyone
is looking to take lessons, I really recommend it.

Mastels has wonderful black cherry concentrate, which is especially great when
added to a coke soda. Using a variety of fruit concentrates is sort of like
brewing up one's own flavored sodas. Yes, it is in St Paul, at 1526 Saint Clair
Ave, near Snelling. Mastels also has has adult pineapple chewable vitamins for
us big kids.

Nearly everywhere good coffee is $2 a cup, except one place near Mastels where
it is still a dime a cup. Who knows the answer to that one?

The 10 cent coffee is at Saint Paul Corner Drug- St. Clair and
Snelling. Also of interest in that block is Marvy's; I believe they
are the only makers of barber poles remaining in the U.S.
