Heads up! Put your thinking caps on!
Your District Council will soon be asked for its communal opinion on which
billboards should come down in your neighborhood. Please think about the
two or three local billboards you could most easily live without.
To take a virtual billboard tour of the city, ward by ward, go to Scenic
Saint Paul's "Wall of Shame" here:
http://www.scenicsaintpaul.org/shame.html
The People have the Power to choose the first "Top 40." (17 DC's x 2 to 3
boards each)
Let your District Council know how you feel before November. The 2008
Neighborhood Contact List is attached.

OK, Council President Lantry has made the official request. Please be
sure to let your District Council know how you feel. At least a couple of
us in District Nine (W7/FRF) are lobbying for the
"Armstrong-Quinlan/Chestnut Plaza" boards on the riverfront. What about
you and your neighborhood?

[SPIF] Least Favorite Billboards

Wow, I'm sorry that isn't even close to my least favorite billboard in West
Seventh. Those boards on Randolph and Chatsworth are the pits and the
boards at Jefferson and Victoria and the boards at Randolph and 35 all out
suck the boards on the river.
I HATE on ground boards in traditional residential neighborhoods!!!!! They
are the most disgusting of all of the billboards, particularly when they
are on a green lot. I see them and they destroy both the green space they
are on and the flavor of the residents around them.
All of the freestanding (closer to the ground the worse), on green lots
boards anywhere in the City are number 1.
