Subject: Re: [Frogtown] WALSH CONSTRUCTION & the CITY OF ST PAUL: the
DEMOLITION OF FROGTOWN-Time to Put Our Foot Down!
Word of note...have to point out the good as well as the ugly. Truck
traffic from construction has decreased. It is still present, but much
lower. We had a visit from Kimberly with Walsh. She explained acceptable
levels of vibration for our homes and gave me the contact with the MET
engineer if I wished to speak with him, since the MET are the ones who set
the levels. The only bad thing, while vibrations levels are acceptable,
they still lead to the acceleration of the decline of our older homes. It
is what it is!
Also, while being pedestrians near the construction area, we encountered a
Walsh employee directing truck traffic. He saw that we were facing major
regular traffic to get across the street. He stopped regular traffic so as
we may cross safely. Wish I knew his name-he went above and beyond his call
of duty for the day (and I was just some lady with her child, not some cute
hot thing who captured his attention) THANK YOU!!!!
