i hope everyone takes a look at the proposal that will be presented at this
monday's roseville city council meeting concerning our police service. a
council member has "thought outside the box" and found a way to cut about $2
million dollars from our police budget, provide better police service, not cut
any patrol officer's jobs, provide patrol officers with increased opportunities
for advancement, and remove the taxpayers of roseville from any liability for
improper police actions.
if this program had been in place earlier, the taxpayers of roseville may not
have had to pay $100,000 earlier this year to settle a police lawsuit and
related lawyer fees.
unfortunately, i have a feeling that the other members of the city council will
not give this proposal the consideration that it deserves - i hope the city
council proves me wrong on monday night, and at least explores this proposal
and let's the residents of roseville express their views over the coming
months.
thanks for listening!
