Well done to everyone involved with this year's Headington Festival. Shame about the slow start due in main to the threat of bad weather but a great day nonetheless. This year's show felt significantly bigger than last year's with lot's more to see and do. Looking forward to June 2009 already.
An afternoon of fun and games for all the family with lots of entertainment including Jake's Magic and Circus Show, Stage Coach Dancers, Singing Hillbillies, OCUS Quartet , storytelling and face painting. Competitions include Children's Fancy Dress, Orinoco Recycling and the ever- popular Wellie Wanging all with a chance to win great prizes. Over 40 stalls from groups that sell crafts or promote their ideas including the newly formed Headington Car Club. Classic and hybrid vehicles plus a police van and fire engine are expected. Also there will be the usual funfair and bouncy castle.
Teas will be provided by The Eatwells Caf The Lord Mayor, our own Cllr Mary Clarkson, will be there to judge the competitions and hand out prizes.
