Myself and my partner have been struggling for some time to find
affordable flats in Oxford, however, I don't think this is the
solution. The gap between salaries and rent in Oxford is so narrow
that we find ourselves with not much left over from our rent, even
when living in tiny sub-standard flats. I find the notion that someone
can consider renting out their garden shed for Β£450 a month a
disgraceful reflection of the housing problems Oxford faces.
I just wanted to share this with you and hear your thoughts on it.
Dominic Francis.
