All,
The CSW forum has been running for a few months now. It seems a good time to
reiterate its purpose and seek volunteers interested in making it bigger and
better.
As you know the forum is hosted by E-democracy. They are an independent project
run by volunteers whose only interest is to improve the working of local
democracy. The forum is not owner by Oxford City Council. You own it. It is a
place where you can discuss local issues that are of interest to you.
Topics can include anything about your local community – they do not have to
always be political or serious – some of the most interesting and active
discussion taking place on other forums are light hearted.
I'm currently the forum Manager and I work with a small group of volunteers,
making up the forum's steering group. I'd love to relinquish the role to a
local CSW resident who can give the forum a real community focus. It would
take only as much time as you're prepared to commit. Tim Erickson and his team
handle the technical side of the forum. If you're interested please get in
touch to discuss. I can be emailed on <email obscured>
Also, get in touch if you are interested in joining the steering group. The
steering group is there to help promote the forum and look for interesting
topics to discuss.
Any comments or thoughts would be welcome.
