they are not recognised as ouncil tenants and would have to leave the property
they have lived in for many years .
All of these people were living with their parents or parent and always had
been ,they hadnt just moved in , then when the last member of their family had
died or gone into care they had just carried on living in the family home ,in
one case the person has been paying full rent and council tax for years even
though this person is a pensioner (no benefit applied for). None of these
people had thought about their name not being on the rent book until now
..these people will be given eviction notices with no other accomadation
offered , just evicted . They are not classed as tenants so have no rights even
though the rent has been paid accepted , If they are not out by a certain date
they will be classed as squatters , is this how we treat older people who have
looked after their parents without thinking about their own future ?? I think
its pretty disgusting ..What about their Human Rights ??.
