The applicable rules governing event announcements in the forum are as follows:
1) Public event promotions and links to commercial, media, or non-profit online
content related to the scope of the forum are appropriate.
2) Event announcements whose content is outside the scope of the forum are also
appropriate if that event is being held within Minneapolis.
These are not special rules for event announcements; they are from the forum
participation rules governing e-democracy.org forum postings:
http://e-democracy.org/rules
Those same participation rules state members must keep topic discussions within
the forum purpose.
An announcement of an event being held in Minneapolis is permitted regardless
of whether the content of the event is or is not within the scope of the forum.
However, discussion of that content is not permitted if it is outside the scope
of the forum.
As a reminder, comments or complaints about forum management or complaints
about member rule violations must not be posted to the main forum. Instead,
direct such messages privately to the Forum Manager. To do otherwise can lead
to an official warning. Two official warnings within a 12 month period can
jeopardize one's ability to participate in the forum.
